 Well, i did the same thing, and i was able to observe only 6 Kbps :(
 irrespective of yahoo<->yahoo or pidgin<->yahoo at one point of time....
 Still , it does the same thing with yahoo<->yahoo, and thats a comfort. It
 may be the problem of relay.msg.yahoo.com - one of those servers(they have
 different ip addresses) seems to be slow. If thats the case, its not
 related to us - but more tests will surely be helpful to find it.
