 I currently have about a dozen IRC channels I need to auto-join on
 connect; however, most of them require my nick be registered and I be
 logged in. NickServ takes at least a few seconds to authenticate. However,
 Pidgin attempts to autojoin all the channels at once immediately when it
 connects to the server. This is a MASSIVE problem for me, as I suddenly
 have to deal with a dozen "COULD NOT JOIN CHANNEL REGISTRATION REQUIRED"
 popup windows, and on top of that, /join #channel manually for each one!

 The most obvious fix seems to be to delay the autojoin for a configurable
 period of time on a per-account and/or per-channel basis.

 Pidgin has worked great for MSN/AIM/Yahoo, but this IRC thing really is
 going to be a dealbreaker for me; i've asked in #pidgin for help or
 suggestions, received none, searched a lot, and generally spent a lot of
 time trying to fix what should be a blindingly obvious problem. Maybe the
 solution exists, and is blindingly obvious too, and I haven't found it yet
 - but I doubt that.
