 Just a note, "msgfmt -cv ar.po" will give the following errors:

 ar.po:12748: 'msgstr[0]' is not a valid C format string, unlike 'msgid'.
 Reason: The string refers to argument number 4 but ignores argument number
 3.
 ar.po:13934: 'msgstr[0]' is not a valid C format string, unlike 'msgid'.
 Reason: The string refers to argument number 2 but ignores argument number
 1.
 ar.po:14310: 'msgstr[0]' is not a valid C format string, unlike 'msgid'.
 Reason: The string refers to argument number 2 but ignores argument number
 1.
 msgfmt: found 9 fatal errors
