Comment:

 Font color is not the issue, all colors of fonts are white-on-white.
 Even the font color selection box is white where the triangle
 should be.  I don't see anything like this in any other app I'm using.  I
 take
 it that Pidgin is using some 3rd party UI library that is causing this
 (thus your comment that you have no control over this), perhaps it is
 not selecting a pallette correctly, that is important in 256-color
 mode of Windows.  I'll just use something else.  Thanks.
