 I just have to add that this happens multiple times per day (WinXP, with
 XMPP) and is a major annoyance. If you don't use chat logs and new
 messages appear in the chat window, and this bug kills it off, the
 messages are effectively lost if you don't read them fast enough. If this
 happens to a lot of people I suggest bumping up the priority because
 losing messages could drive people away from Pidgin. (And I#m not talking
 about me.)
