 Try upgrading to cairo 1.4.14 by downloading
 [http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/binaries/win32/dependencies/cairo-1.4.14.zip
 this zip file] and replacing your `C:\Program Files\Common
 Files\GTK\2.0\bin\libcairo-2.dll` with the one in the file.  Make sure
 that neither Pidgin or any other GTK+ application is running when you do
 this.
