 I am using v2.3.1 on WinxP.

 It happened that somehow the main menu is corrupted.
 I usually have Pidgin hidden in systray.
 If I doubleclick its icon in systray, the window appears, but the main
 menu is not displayed. Instead, the previous screen content is visible in
 its place.

 If I click where the Buddies menu should be, the menu appears (together
 with the main menu item), but then I can use it by mouse. Any click is
 ignored. But I can use it with keyboard - cursor keys.
