 Ah great. Let me try this again. When somebody sends me:

 first line[[BR]]
 foo_bar: baz[[BR]]
 foo: bar baz[[BR]]
 foo/bar: baz[[BR]]
 foo: bar_baz[[BR]]
 foo:bar baz[[BR]]
 foo bar baz[[BR]]
 baz: bar foo[[BR]]
 (just in case it doesn't like foo) [[BR]]

 what I get is:

 first line[[BR]]
 baz[[BR]]
 baz[[BR]]
 baz[[BR]]
 bar_baz[[BR]]
 baz[[BR]]
 baz[[BR]]
 foo[[BR]]
 doesn't like foo)

 The first line is always fine.
