 Ever since I started using Pidgin, a very long time ago, I always wanted a
 buddylist search option. Then I heard you could just type the person's
 name in while your list was open. I tried that and it lags for about five
 seconds and then inputs only the first character and no buddies starting
 with that character appear either. This is the same result for "CTRL + F"
 too.

 Could someone try to fix this? This is an essential way to quickly message
 people and I really need it as well as all the other people around the
 world! :p
