 I would be interested in the ability to lock specific buddies (or just
 entire groups), so that it is possible to view buddies and receive
 messages, but sending messages to locked buddies/groups requires some
 extra verification (simple password).

 Why might I want this?  Think of it as a drunk-IMing protection, stalker-
 friendly, or just a simple way to leave your buddy list up and protect
 people from sending messages "as you" while you aren't there.

 Might be possible as a plugin too...
