 I posted this bug again in #5746 [http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/5746]
 because I didn't find this.  As of 2.4.3 this bug is happening constantly.
 In that I was running vista ultimate (both 32 and 64 bit) and it was
 happening constantly - and since this is on xp, it seems to be not just
 vista causing it.
