 Copying a username (in my case an MSN email address) from Excel 2007 and
 pasting it into the Add Buddy dialog returns the following error:

 Unable to add "<email address>
 ".

 The username specified is invalid.
 }}}

 Typing in the same address by hand works fine as does paste in plain text
 from other applications. My guess is that Excel has some kind of
 formatting attached to the text but Pidgin should strip that out on paste.
