 Hi there,
 this is about the notifier icon for new incoming messages.
 In former versions of pidgin (don't remember when this behaviour changed)
 it was placed next to the user who sent new messages just over his/her
 status icon. Now it's placed in the menu next to "Help". I liked the older
 behaviour better for you could know who the message is from. Maybe they
 could combined both.
