 I'm assuming by "server config" you mean "account configuration in pidgin"
 and it is unlikely that pidgin doubled that information for you on an
 upgrade but it is possible (I suppose) that the way we interpreted the
 value changed or your server changed how it handles it or something like
 that. To be honest I am *shocked* you were even able to log in? Do you
 know what server software this server is running (is it
 WildFire/OpenFire)? In the auth data you snipped from the log (I'm also
 surprised your server is using old-style jabber:iq:auth authentication but
 that's another story) what username did you send to the server? Was it
 "jwakefield at jabber.gmti.com" or just jwakefield"?
