 I have installed Pidgin Portable 2.4.3 on my Optima 4 gig USB drive. When
 I exit the application and try to 'safely remove' my USB drive, I get a
 message saying that "the device Generic Volume cannot be stopped right
 now. Try Stopping service later". I have actually left the drive plugged
 in overnight after shutting down all programs that were running on it, and
 in the morning I received the same message.

 I am using no plugins. I have a custom smilie theme.

 I have tried rebooting the computer, and starting only Pidgin from the USB
 drive. I have also tried deleting pidgin from my usb and reinstalling it.
 I have also tried looking through he processes shown in the Task Manager,
 ending any that I thought might be related to this problem.

 If you have any further suggestion how to resolve this problem or if I can
 provide you with more information, I would appreciate it
