 This problem persists as of Pidgin 2.4.1. I'm using Pidgin under Ubuntu
 8.04 and it was installed using the package manager, so I believe that it
 has been compiled correctly.
 I really don't get why the priority has been set to "minor". This can be a
 ''huge'' problem for a conversation, and I have currently abandoned Pidgin
 because of this!
 I can tell you that there doesn't seem to be problems with Emesene.
