 What is the specific issue you're seeing that makes you request this.

 I'm not particularly inclined to make this change because I don't think
 this is hurting anything.  We specifically don't add stuff to the system
 path.  If other applications want to install their own private copies and
 not use the global one (as GIMP has started to do and Wireshark has done
 for a long time), that is fine.

 If you would like to run a version of Pidgin with a private GTK+ runtime,
 that's fine too and we have instructions for doing so ([wiki:"Using
 Pidgin#RunningWindowsPidginFromaUSBDrivePortableMode" here]).
