 Hi,

 I'm using piding 2.4.3 and since more and more of my friends move from icq
 to qip this problem becomes more annoying. other programs, such as
 miranda, original icq or qip display the german umlauts correctly, but
 pidgin shows them this way:

 ä = a[[BR]]

 ü = ь[[BR]]

 ö = ц[[BR]]

 ß = Я[[BR]]
