 I don't know about you, but on my system (using the Ubuntu Human theme),
 the Pidgin tabs are only ONE pixel shorter than the native tabs. The
 underlining multiplication symbol just doesn't look or feel natural, and I
 think it would be better to make it a plug-in or option and use the native
 widgets by default.
