Comment:

 There's no crash message. In the cmd console nothing appears either :(

 I have been investigating further and I realized the problem is only
 happening with this user of windows (something must be corrupted in this
 session?).

 In a new account the problem doesn't appear and pidgin works fine
 (changing the user icon/buddy, adding certificates, sending files to
 buddies, etc). Any ideas?
