 Hi,

I am having the same problem as the initial poster. Im my company
 - HTTP/HTTPS connection HAVE to use a http proxy
 - The proxy only allows outgoing connections to port 80 and port 443
 - Connection to port 1863 must be made directly, bypassing the proxy.

What would be required, is a proxy setting per protocol.

I checked with other instant messengers: E.g. Trillian takes the windows
settings into account: It uses the internet explorer HTTP proxy setting
for HTTP connections and the SOCKS proxy setting for other connections.

Any chance to re-open this ticket?
