 Occasionally when I'm talking to someone, a new message will be sent
 (either from or two me; this can happen in both instances), I'll hear the
 new message "ding", but the new message won't show up. To get it to
 display, I have to either flip to another chat tab and then back again, or
 send a message in that tab. It's usually nothing more than an annoyance,
 but sometimes it'll happen multiple times in a row, at which point, it
 gets really frustrating.

 This seems to happen irregardless of message sender or IM protocol.

 I'm running GTK+ 2.10.13 rev a on Windows XP MCE. I can't update GTK+
 because doing so causes Pidgin to crash every half-hour or so (which, I
 guess, is another bug report in itself).
