New description:

 Starting today my Yahoo connection is constantly closing without any
 reason. The message that continues to be shown is "Server closed the
 connection." However, if I login to Yahoo Messenger directly everything is
 fine. This is very annoying as I don't want to use Yahoo Messenger but
 only use Pidgin. Any help you can provide is much appreciated.
