Comment (by catalin):
I subscribe to this problem. All the above happen. I am using an Yahoo
account that is affected by this. As for the type ... any link will
determine the status not to be updated, whether it's http or just www
alone.
From a developer point of view, although very new to XML, it might just be
that the XML schema where the messages are stored in status.xml does not
allow the function to send the string corectly to the server. Because,
tracking this with the incorporated debug tool outputs no error at all. It
only says it prepares to write and write to status.xml and the other file.
Still, when I try to set a valid status it also says '''(23:45:38) blist:
Updating buddy status for''' ... So, I haven't looked at the code (? i
wasn't actually able to find it so that I can compile... all I found were
some headers with quite no code in them), but I guess that is where the
problem resides, when it is updating status because with invalid status,
nothing like update status is output-ed to the debug window.
Again, I don't know if any of these help... it's just plain guessing and I
don't want to insult your work in any way by possibly leading you on bad
tracks.
Kind regards,
Catalin
