 Well, since I can't unsubscribe either, let me say that blogs are hardly
 the authority. And my particular revulsion (and thus my discontinuation of
 using pidgin) has far less to do with the feature at this point and more
 that the user/developer relationship is a one-way street and that as a
 developer I detest that. So, while I could add code, I refuse to
 participate in this particular insulting developer base lest I become
 tainted with their attitude.

 So for my pithy quote to contribute:
