 I have a few XMPP buddies who use mixed languages in their aliases.  It's
 usually an english name plus an asian symbol or some such.  Eg:
 Bob Jones (阎)

 My pidgin install does not display the extra characters correctly anyway,
 but who knows why that is (maybe it's windows, maybe its the build
 options, maybe its the code, etc).  What really bugs me is that, even
 though the special characters are at the end of the alias, for some reason
 it kills the alphabetical sorting of their names.  The Bob Jones example
 above actually appears at the very end of his group, after all the single-
 language aliases go A-Z.
