 Personally, I don't find this defect to me minor.  The problem happens
 when I've got a gmail account connected and an aim AIM one at the same
 time.  If I try to change it then, it won't work.  If I disable the gmail
 one then try changing it, it works.

 I'm going to see if I can fix it myself and submit a patch.  I've always
 wanted to contribute to pidgin.
