 Hello!,

 We have some troubles with the new version of Pidgin (only with icq-
 protokoll)
 we take ISO-8859-1 and try to send a message with sign as ö ä ü.
 Unfortunately the recipient nothing recieves and gets an error like (in
 german):
 (Es gab einen Fehler beim Empfang dieser Nachricht. Entweder haben Sie und
 177437496 unterschiedliche Kodierungen gesetzt oder 177437496 hat einen
 fehlerhaften Client.)
 Translation: There were some Troubles by recieving this message. 177437496
 has other codings or 177437496 has a corrupted client.

 We tried also ISO-8859-1 with the same result.

 As we tried utf-8 we the recipient (me) was getting: ö À Ì
 and if I was trying to send this ö À Ì to the client witch couldn't
 recieve the ö ä ü the same error occures.


 These problems we localized unter Fedora 8 and Windows with the Pidgin
 Version 2.4.0
