 Pidgin crashes on load. It goes straight to the "pidgin has caused an
 error and must be closed." I originally tried installing aspell, found
 some comments about it possibly resulting in a crash so uninstalled all
 and tried again: same result. The attached report shows one log with
 aspell and the 2nd without (they appear more or less identical).

 This may be related to/caused by GTK, though, as I get a similar
 instantaneous crash when attempting to load the GTK theme selector though
 they could be entirely unrelated...
