 because that caused problems before

 XMPP doesn't support adding yourself.

 there are no bugs reported
 (08:29:48 PM) Hylke: it used to work
 (08:33:23 PM) Sean: well, setting icons at all on XMPP was broken for a
 while until 2.4.0, so probably whatever fix that was didn't make its way
 to the self-presence
