 While the ability to click anywhere on the window will allow you start
 typing in it, this doesn't work for pasting (control-v appears to be
 unreliable unless the input area has focus), and a right-click anywhere
 shows the context-dependent menu (which is based on the widget, the
 conversation pane is non-editable, so the paste option is greyed out) and
 the input area must still be clicked to get the paste option to work.  As
 outlined previously, a smaller input area makes it harder to target with
 the mouse for clicking.

 Additionally, I vote for returning the ability to resize the input area
 using a drag handle.   Have it limited to resizeing on a per-line basis
 (which may not make sense given the ability to change the font-size), and
 don't allow it to be smaller than one line or large enough that less than
 one line of the conversation pane is shown.
