 I rarely ever actually turn my laptop off.  Mostly I close the lid and
 allow it to sleep as it returns to a usable state much quicker this way.
 With 2.4.0 when my system wakes up I immediately get a message that Pidgin
 has stopped responding and is forced to close.  I did not have this
 problem with 2.3.1.

 I know this isn't the place but just wanted to say thanks to the
 developers of pidgin I love the product and recommend it to everyone I IM
 with :)
