 I think everyone here realizes the zero lines is a bug, nobody believes
 for a second that the zero lines was an intended "feature". The discussion
 here (see the title of the bug report) is if two lines are enough and if
 the compose pane should auto-size or be manually sizable. ALSO, if it is
 auto-sized is the only option, is two lines an adequate starting point.

 Personally, I don't like the tiny starting height of two lines - maybe
 it's claustrophobia or maybe it's personal aesthetics. I have asked to
 either be able to set the minimum[/maximum] height of the auto-size or
 have the manual-size be returned.
