Well thank you very much William "It's Not A Bug It's A Feature" Gates.
Is Pidgin now in the hands of M$ developers?? And that "It doesn't bother
me so screw the rest of you guys" attitude should be tarred & pidgin-
feathered. The theory of "keeping the application useful" is absolute
rubbish since the new version has rendered MY Instant Message window
anything but. And the IM nannies that say we shouldn't be typing more
than a line anyway because that's what email is for can suck it too 'cuz I
would relish being limited to a couple of lines considering I don't even
have a SINGLE full line of text to type in. In this build the only time I
can see what I've typed at all is AFTER I've sent the message. Is this
the "usability feature" you guys are patting yourselves on the back about?
Careful not to break your arm there, chief.
I'm a relatively new user to Pidgin and haven't had any problems until now
but the process of registering an account just to complain (like so many
others here) was like pulling teeth in itself. After trying the initial
search on the issue then actually registering & leaving a reply (4 times
in between errors) I've wasted over an hour of my life now staring at
Server Overloaded error pages referencing a high load on the server!
Hmmmm...I wonder why the server for technical support would be
overloaded...oh yeah, all the people who upgraded are on it trying to
figure out how to disable the new "Enhancement"!!!
Back to Trillian for me. In the number of years I've used & upgraded that
nice little application it has never NOT worked. If it ain't broke DON'T
FIX IT!!!
