 It only happened when I was trying to add a buddy on AIM. Gave that error
 every time, so I couldn't add them at all.

 I asked them to add me, and it went through. I think - not exactly sure
 now - that after they added me, pidgin told me that multiple contacts are
 detected and asked me to merge them. But I didn't have the contact before,
 I'm sure of that - so maybe it was just my multiple attempts at adding
 them caused the merge thing.
