 Gosh! How strange. I can't create a new account with a period in it
 either. I dont't know what you want to do with this one now. I've
 definitely got an account with a period in (op.boot at aol.com) and I'm
 definitely signed on with it through Trillian.

 It's a fairly old account, so maybe they used to let you do it, but have
 changed it.

 So, if you want proof that they exist, feel free to message me on the
 above name. If you're not worried about it, you may as well close this
 one.

 I'm happy to stay (somewhat) unique :-)
