 Looking back at these two messages:
   I've noticed that when I shut my pc down, pidgin always pops up for a
 brief moment... Like if the "quit" message was forcing pidgin to show on
 the desktop. And the fact that the last status of the window is "visible",
 maybe it'd explain why it's also visible at boot?

   I noticed that the buddy list is always showing up when exiting Gnome.
 Like if the signal sent by Gnome to the programs forced the buddy list to
 show up. Does anyone know which signal it is?
 Could a possible fix lie in determining the source of this last-minute
 popup?
