 I am using Pidgin 2.4, along with the IRC Helper and IRC More plug-ins.
 Pidgin refuses to connect to IRC for me.

 I get the following error message:

 eXcero at irc.gamesurge.net disconnected

 ERROR: Closing Link: eXcero by Snoke.NL.EU.GameSurge.net (USER: Bad
 username)
 ----------------------------------------------------------

 My username isn't incorrect.  I can log onto GameSurge with mIRC just
 fine.  I can also get on through the Java applet at www.gamesurge.net, so
 it isn't a firewall issue either.  I try reconnecting over and over, but I
 get the same message every time.

 Is there a known fix for this?
