 There's no reason for us to have a "server window."  We're not XChat,
 irssi, mIRC, or any other dedicated IRC client.

 Joining a channel is trivial even without having a conversation to type
 commands into--simply use Buddies->Join A Chat from the buddy list window
 and type the channel name (including #) in the presented dialog.  If you
 are joining the same channels all the time you should just add them to the
 buddy list (Buddies->Add Chat), right-click them, and click Auto-join.  If
 you couple this with IRCHelper's authentication magic, it makes for a much
 more pleasant IRC "experience."
