Can you explain to me what you mean by "block" does mean "invisible for
this user"?
Last time I use the native AOL instant messenger client, you could block a
user, say "facebook" and 2 things would happen:
1.) the user would no longer be able to directly query your online status
2.) the user would no longer be able to send you instant messages.
The benefit of this is that people can not spam or harass you on IM.
I had the facebook user blocked as mentioned above and I still got
messages from it. If pidgin can't support "block" for AOL, could client
side logic be added to pidgin block the message from appearing? i.e.
receive the message, but don't show it to me. I want a mechanism so that
spam bots (like facebook) can not harass me.
