 > For those of you revering to 2.3, this solution will work for awhile but
eventually you are probably going to want new features that Pidgin
developers introduce. I have created a fork for this purpose called
 "funpidgin" which is on sourceforge.net
([http://sourceforge.net/projects/funpidgin/]). It is my first software
project and I'm hoping it will be a lot of fun. If it gains a serious
following, it can have a more serious name.

I can certainly appreciate the work you have done and the work it will
take to maintain your fork (keeping it updated) but this should absolutely
not be necessary. I wish the developers would come back and realize that
the removal of this UI feature should have have been done so lightly and
they should REALLY make it an option and not force us to use it. PLEASE
DEVELOPERS: RE-JOIN THIS CONVERSATION. Don't you see that people really
did like the resize-ability of the compose box? We don't want it to be
"your way or the highway"? We can both have our cake and eat it two, just
implement both and let us choose. It is fine if you make "your way" the
default, please just give us the option.
