 If someone in particular wants to work on a ticket, they will assign it to
 themselves. I am not about to go and assign it to some random person.

 As for this issue, there is already significant discussion on the mailing
 lists (devel at pidgin.im and support at pidgin.im), and the chat rooms
 (xmpp:devel at pidgin.im or irc:#pidgin at chat.freenode.net). When a concencus
 is made, the ticket will be fixed by someone. Who that is remains to be
 seen.
