 One other thing that I should mention.  I just updated glib to version
 glib-2.16.1.tar.bz2, as this was part of my update to Gnome-2.22.  I was
 hoping this would fix my problems, but obviously it hasn't.  And same as
 above, it works find on my home 192.168.x network, but crashes
 consistently at my work 172.19.x network.
