 To qvdm: like "moo", I uninstalled GTK+ 2.12.8 Rev A and replaced it with
 GTK+ 2.12.1 Rev B, which is available at
 http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=235

 This seems to fix QQ and I don't think it caused any new problems.
