 You are right.  I misdiagnosed the cause by not understanding how to pass
 a NULL name in Python, where I was testing.  Correcting that, I found
 exactly as you did, that !FindWindow with NULL name works, as does
 FindWindowEX with 0 parent and NULL name.  Thanks for the quick fix.
