 I think that some plugin (say "current track", but perhaps some other) use
 the purple_util_fetch_url function.

 I'm not an really knowledgeable in c, so forgive me for the cluelessness
 of this comment.

 Is the *account argument mandatory with that patch ? Because if that's the
 case, I think this patch will probably break every plugin that used the
 function, and because of their plugin status, I'm not sure they got access
 to that particular pointer (and perhaps making that argument optional -or-
 if it is not possible and that the plugins are acceptable loss for the
 greater good, perhaps making -something- that will permit the plugins to
 use the function, like with the global settings by default, would probably
 be good.
