Comment:

 I would doubt it (at least easily) this is an ordering problem, that
 message clearly gets printed before the buddy pounce fires so when the
 messages looks for the conversation window it doesn't yet exist to be
 printed in. A plugin could do this however (both print the message and
 open the window, which would remove the need for the buddy pounce
 altogether). I'm going to mark this as wontfix because I don't really
 think there's anything to fix here.
