Comment:

 This was originally changed to prefer xmppdomain for users who specify an
 IP address in the Connect Server (see #699).

 For libpurple 2.4.0 I changed this to only use xmppdomain when the Connect
 Server is an IP address, otherwise use Connect Server.

 That has uncovered some other issues with DIGEST-MD5 auth, and as far as
 I'm concerned the jury is still out on who's right/wrong on that. See
