 If the XMPP room exposes the real JID of the participant we could use
 buddy list aliases for room occupants, however doing this sort of thing
 always complicates tab completion (as well as when other people refer to
 the person you have aliased). At the moment we don't handle buddy marking
 in XMPP chatrooms because we don't have a way of saying 'this protocol
 supports unique chatroom names but in this specific room we still know who
 people are', I tried this once a while ago but it didn't work correctly
 for the person I had test it (and I ran out of time to work on it).

 Summing up, I think the buddy marking we do on other protocols should be
 brought to XMPP, I don't think aliases should be (as they complicate
 things).
