Well I'm a recently-switched Shift Linux (Ubuntu Hardy). One of the most
important programs back when I used Windows was MSN messenger... and now
that I'm with Linux, I started to use the best available replacement
software called Pidgin. What makes it different in my view? Well, the fact
that it has sounds that notifies you when someone messages you.

However, it has come to my attention that the messages I send to other
computers look so 'pale'... I know that the ''Pidgin Promise'' is to
always offer a very easy and simple messaging application. However, I must
say that even though somethings are very easy, things as changing the font
face, or many other text formatting related tasks, are incredibly hard or
 repetitive to use.

My main point is that well, maybe there should be some way to change the
font face and other text format related settings in a more "universal"
way. What I mean with this is that when I talk with people they say that
my font looks pale, so I want to change it, but the only possible way to
do so it by clicking on the first button (from left to right) above the
text panel. Many options come up, but the changed I put in that windows
 doesn't apply to other conversations.

So let's say that I'm talking with Bob, and I put my font in Bob's
conversation to be Comic Sans... And then I start talking with Anne, but
the font used in Anne's conversation with me is again the default,
("pale"), font. even though this font looks GREAT in Pidgin, it looks way
to simple or unattended in other OS (XP for example, bring ups a very
 simple font.

How can I change the default font face in Pidgin? How can I, for example,
set the default font face to be Georgia with Bold and Italic formatting? I
have search everywhere but no clue how to do it... Please help!
